Historic Haze

The worst air quality every recorded in the Twin Cities. That was the warning from the National Weather Service via a phone call to our newsroom shortly before we went live.

I pivoted, restructuring the first few minutes of the show and collaborating with my team to execute the new plan. When northern wildfire smoke pushed the Metro’s air pollution to historic levels, we were ready to alert the thousands of viewers who rely on us.
